VTC Spring 2002 - Technical Program Chairman's Message

The ubiquitous demand for wireless access is forcing product manufacturers, wireless operators and content providers to offer wireless products and services that improve productivity. This conference provides the opportunity to participate in tutorials, oral and poster sessions, and a panel discussion that represent technical innovation and applications associated with the demands on the mobile wireless industry. In one of the highlights of the conference, a keynote speaker will present a plenary session designed to stimulate your thinking on current and future vehicular technology issues and challenges.

The remainder of the technical program consists of ten tutorials scheduled for Monday, May 6 and technical papers presented in seven parallel oral sessions, along with poster sessions on Tuesday through Thursday. An invited session on Transportation follows the plenary session on Tuesday. I believe the technical program committee has selected high quality papers that you will find to be interesting and informative. Your attendance will allow you to exchange your ideas with others. Also, note that our program offers technical tours to high technology facilities in Alabama.
